On a report from a fellow IDOer me and a buddy went after crappies on Pool 9 Tues & Wed. Fished in about 14 ft. of water. Set up early both days and the early bite was fantastic. Tuesday was a little better during the day getting a few smaller throw back crappie and perch with an occacasional keeper. My buddy got a 15 inch perch, biggest I’ve ever seen live. I also got 2 LMB over 2 lbs on jig pole. Fun fun.
Wed. was different. At 6:30 A.M. the FL-18 was showing fish everywhere. After trying 2 different jigs with no bites I tried an orange teardrop with 2 silver blades and for the next half hour I couldn’t keep the jig in the hole. 
Several times as the jig got about 4 feet from bottom a red mark would rise and 
, crappie on. After 9:30 that was it except for 2 crappies on minnows. Fished until 3:30 waiting for the afternoon bite that never happened. Each of us kept about 10 crappies and a few perch plus the bass each day for eating. All in all a great 2 days.
