I’ll be in LaCrosse next week and i’m thinking about picking this shack up at farm and fleet. I sat in it the other day and the seats are very comfortable. I also like the little console between the seats. I’m not to sure on the poles as they seemed a little thin. Can anybody give me some testimonials on this shack. For $299 it fits my budget nicely due to the fact i’m recovering from surgery and on a medical leave from work. Sorry I just can’t budget an otter right now.

I have a quickflip II. Mine is the one with the bench seat though. It’s big and heavy, but does a pretty good job. It’s a piece of cake to pull across the ice with no snow, but not so much fun with a foot of snow on the ice.

The poles on mine have been fine. The only issue I’ve ever had with mine is in the bench. There’s two bars that the pad sits on, and the pad gets pushed down between them. Nothing a piece of plywood can’t fix.

i have the one with the bench seat as well. i am in the midst of taking the back of the bench off, taking off the sitting pad and installing 2 folding boat seats and a middle console myself. it is bulky and can be a pain to haul by yourself if there is alot of snow, but i just assume most will be similar. great room for 2 people, and even adequate to fit a third (bench)

You guys are justifying my new (to me) purchase of a Quikflip 2 from a fellow IDOer this weekend. ( I have a few more positives to plead to the FW)
Sounds like exactly what is was looking for….
Mine too is the older one with the green canvas and the bench seat so the input is appreciated guys
I’ll be picking it up soon Dean ..

You should have been more on the ball Targa….Between the time it was posted and the time I bought it was about 45 mins…..

    Thanks a bunch Pete

Glad to hear I’m not the only one with this opinion.

I’ve got the Quick Flip II 350 with the bench seat. I’m extremely happy with it’s functionality. My only complaint is that thing is a tank. We used it this weekend and it actually took a guy pulling and a guy pushing to get it up the hill. I simply cannot load it into my truck myself.

I think it weighs 150#, plus the auger and other gear.

HAHA me too, eskimo auger and shack. Maybe we could be the pro staff. The two of us in all that green would look like a couple of garbage trucks rolling across the ice.

I have the old green version Quick Flip 3 6th season with it and seen a few more years in it easily. Yes they pull hard in snow, got a sled for that or my truck when ice is good, no issues loading mine in my truck alone fully loaded. Would buy another in a heartbeat if they weren’t red.

I have one and love it. bought it new last year. I think the weight is only 72 lbs. I can load it and unload it out of the truck. I did add a longer tow rope seems to make it easier to pull and load. I fished with my 3 and 4 year old and myself sitting on a bucket with a heater in the back. Awsome shack plenty of room.

I have the Escape 200 which is very similar to the newer Quickflip II except it has a heavier Red canvas, it is 600 denier and the old Green FF II and the New Red QF II are 300 Denier. The difference between the old Green one and the newer ones is night and day. Better seating setup with the 40 20 40 folding, also the poles slide much easier with the plastic guides on the poles. I can lift mine off and on my 4X4 Dodge, it sits up in the air and I’m 56 so you young guys should have no problem. It has to empty and it’s not easy but it can be done.

For the price I think it hard to beat.

i have that crappy ice view 2 man that is kind of small but i like that my feet are off of the ice, amazing what that thin piece of plastic can do, and i can load all my gear, and theres alot of it, on it and have no issues pulling with one person even with moderate amount of snow. picked up two of em at a gun show in madison for 50 bucks apiece. fabric was too short added an extension. golden
