Question on Jiffy augers

My Legend Lightning calls for a 24:1 mix, 5 to 5.3 oz. to 1 gallon fuel. Jiffy sells a synthetic oil that mixes 3.2 oz to one gallon fuel. Is it ok to run this new mix in my older Jiffy, or should I stick with the owner’s manual specs?

Why change what has been working so long? Do you think your old mixture wasn’t protecting your motor well enough?

You reduce all risk by following mfrs. recommendations and keeping that hard earned cash for things other than motor repair.

Jiffy has actually said that it is now ok to run the older augers with the lower oil ratio now. They have been like this for a couple of years now. You can use the bottles of oil that you find in your stores now and it will not hurt your auger.
