I took my troller out today for another try. I left the Vex at home so i would have to use the Troller and get used to it. It worked good. I have made up a base stand for it. I mounted it on the stand and put that inside a case i picked up. I also took the tackel box from my Vex and a tape and pliers and it all fits nicley in the case. It was easy to see and the fish showed up nice on the screen. Very light to carry and all i need is encased in the case. With the leg mount and now the base case I am set. Maybe!!

Very nice, did you get a fuse link yet to run it off your 12v battery? The unit does light up nicer with the extra juice

I picked up the wire adapter at Radio Shack. I havn,t made up a wire harness yet. I may run it of a 12v tool batt. I like to travel light. Us older folks can,t carry as much.

I am an older folk…should have seen me huffin’ n puffin’ coming off the ice yesterday

Making your fuse link, I would recommend a quality 3amp fuse

You will notice better reaction time and screen brightness off your 12amp

Bret I got hold of a 12v3amp battery today. wired it up and it is on now for a test. I want to see how long it will run. It is sharper looking at the screen. Nice small battery to go in the base pack I made up.

The 12v 3amp battery has gone 10 hours now and no signs if giving up. Looks like a Keepa. Nice and compact and fits in the case very well.

I let a group play with my Showdown today. I bet there was another one sold in La Crosse after that
