Need some help here guys, the FW bought me a new 825c, I have the vs 380. Is there a difference in picture clarity between the two? And what is the major difference between the 825c and the 825 sd? Just trying to justify the price difference between the two. Thanks.

The 825sd will tell you what direction it is pointing, the depth it is at and what the water temperature is at the depth it is. Besides having a better picture. The screen is also daylight viewable 300 times more bright if I remember correctly. Other than that it is pretty much the same camera.

Oh I almost forgot it tells you what the battery voltage is also.

The biggest difference between the 380 and the 825c

    ..is color of course.

Really the only difference besides color is the monitor. With the 825c, because of the size of the screen, you’ll see better detail.

Set them both up side by side pointing at a distant object say 40 feet away. You’ll easily see what I’m talking about by detail. The color helps too.

The 825c and the sd are two different animals.

What can easily be seen on the LCD screen is the position of the camera, the depth and the temp. By pressing one button you’ll have the condition of your battery.

The option of “Color Kill” gives the owner more versitility when using the camera a night or in very deep water were there isn’t any light. It’s the same as having two cameras a b&w and a color in one container.

What you can’t see is the new Sony Super HAD >>II<< camera head. It needs much less light than the 380 or the 825c. It’s designed to give the owner the best most detailed underwater picture in todays market.

Only the 625sd and 825sd have this camera head.

Other features available on the two sd units are the 300% brighter monitor for true daylight out on the ice viewing and the 9 amp battery.

    380 Good
    825c Better
    825sd Best!

Thanks guys…think I’ll keep the 825. Being I pretty much sold the 380 already!
