Anyone been useing these instead of minnow heads? Sure would be handy if they worked and alot better than minnow bodies all over the shack.

Where do you guys get them? I am just getting into eye fishing so I am looking at all the angles. How many do you get in the package, bottle, jar? What is the cost as well?

You can get them at any gander mountain, fleet farm or place like that. I know most of the big outdoors stores carry them. There around 6 dollars a jar not sure how many you get in a jar though.

Are those minnowheads in a typical GULP! “leakproof” container?

I can see taking a razorblade to a few GULP! minnows I already have, finding a GOOD,leakproof jar, pouring a little juice in,and spending that $6 on a couple more slender spoons.

There in a jar that I have problems with leaking but you can just put them in a tupper wear container and you should be good to go.

Calvin and I have been using them for Perch and Walleye. They have worked great.

Just don’t put the “leak proof” container in your pocket!

The best containers I’ve found are plastic peanut butter jars. I bought a bunch of peanut butter, emptied the peanut butter into Tupperware. Then I’ve got all the containers I needed.

Great idea with the PB jars. I think that I have a few in the basement for old screws and stuff. Quick rinse and they sould be good to go.

Never used them. Yet. But wouldn’t a thick ziplock and just a few minnows (wht you think you will use) work rather than a full jar. Also putting these in a shirt pocket would keep them from freezing.

    Red glow for this guy!

You can purchase them at thorne bros as well.

As far as the leak proof containers…strikemaster bait pucks…

Just plug the hole thats in it with some super glue or something like that. I used the minnow heads yesterday on a frostee jigging spoon caught everything from bluegills to pike!
