Due to reasons beyond my control, I have not been on the ice until today. I pulled out the Otter one man and the lazer auger that I so neatly tucked away last year. pulled out the ice tackle and brushed off the cob webs…unzipped the rod box and checked out the line on the St.Croix rods…
Everything seemed to be A ok !! I found a nice and easy place to walk out to do my first outing. I did add one new piece of equipment this year , and that was my Kahtoola micro spikes..
All went well, i caught numerous small gills and bass with about a dozen gills in the 7-8″ range. Gill Pills, Diamond Jigs. moon glitter, Ratso’s and Slender Spoons all took fish….cept for the slender spoon…the fish took it !!! lol
I did take one pic and while snapping it, remembered that I need to keep the camera warm (fogging)
