I have a frabil trekker ll that I bought 8 or 9 years ago. The windows finally gave out and I thre the canvas away this speing. I ordered a new canvas for it and it has become apparent that they have changed their sled design since I bought mine. I really like the seating system I have ( swivel molded fold down with built in can holders) and would like to keep the system. If you are familiar with what I am talking about I have a few questions. 1 is the small sled that frabil sells on their site the same sled that they use on their trekker houses now? 2 Will my seating system fit into their new sleds? 3 does any one have a canvas that fits this house stashed away from past years that is in decent shape that they are willing to part with for some money? The canvas I need has the elastic band around the bottom of the sled portion with 4 small hooks. Like I said I would really like to keep my seating system and am looking for a way to make this older house work. I am a grad student so I can’t afford a whole new house now. Thanks for any help that any one can provide.

If you have your canvas I would take it to Canvas Plus and have them make one to match. They can usually give you a quote over the phone.

    flatlandfowler,

The Frabill Trekker II was not sold 8 or 9 years ago so chances are you have the wrong tent. If you post the dimensions of your base I should be able to tell you what shelter you have and then you can call Frabill customer service for the correct tent. The seats you have will not work in the new bases.

Oops, sorry. My memory must be skewed…. Sled is 63 long 41 wide and 9 tall (quick measured so may be a hair off). Thanks for the help.

Ok, chances are you have a Ranger XL Twin. Did the unit come with 2 seats or just one? If it came with 2 you have the XL Twin. If not and it only came with one seat then you have the Ranger Solo. Call Customer service and tell them which unit you have and they might have some left overs

Frabill might still have some left but seeing the season has started they might be sold out of the older covers. Call Customer Service and they will be able to tell you for sure. If they are sold out they might suggest another cover that will fit okay.

Thanks for all your help, it is greatlt appreciated. Would also like to give frabill customer service a big thumbs up, more then helpfull.

Not sure your connection to frabill, but if by chance you work there or know-what tools would a guy need to assemble a trekker dlx. Will be buying one enroute to a fishing trip tomorrow and would like to know what I need (read some where a drill?) Thanks again for your help.

    flatlandfowler,

you will need a 7/16″ socket, 7/16″ wrench, Phililps head screw driver or bit for drill. A drill helps a lot if you have an adapter to use the socket on the drill.
