All I did to this auger for winterizing is hang it up. Its sat unstarted until now. You’re seeing the first pulls of winter. LOOK OUT NOW!

I had to hit mine with some starting fluid this year for the first time. Might have been the two year old gas I’ve been running? I put fresh in, running like a champ now.

look how he spins the muffler away from himself.December 10, 2010 at 11:15 pm #916098My old Jiffy model 30 is nearly 20 years old and it started on the second pull and usually does every winter after I blow the layers of dust off of it. I use seafoam in every tank and I think that has helped.

December 11, 2010 at 3:07 pm #916217If you noticed it fired on the second pull. If you would of turn the choke off at that point it would of started on the next pull. Very easy to get too much gas to the Solo, if it fires at all turn the choke off.
