My ice fishing season started today

    Went to an area lake today to check out the crappie action. Wasn’t dissappointed as you can see by the photo. Two 11″ fish, four 10″ and four strong 9″ fish. These were thick fish. These were caught in 10 minutes of fishing. 17 fow. Mid afternoon. Diamond jig with 2 red spikes. They fish hit hard. Just a crush. 10″ of ice. Wheelers and snowmobiles only. Went into 8 fow to sight fish for walleye. Seen 6 keepers but no biters. They were just cruising. Maybe tommorrow.
