    What you might say?

After the Ultimate Panfish League weigh in that starts at 2 pm, we will be doing a fish fry and a get together. You do not need to be a competitor in the UPL to participate in the get together fish fry. What I do ask is everyone bring something to contribute to the party.

I will be bringing a deep fryer and a couple of cutting boards and my cordless fillet knife to clean fish. I will also have the oil for my fryer.

    Somethings that are also needed:
    French Fries
    Onion Rings
    Fish batter
Something that may not freeze or something such as cole slaw or potato salad
    Plates
    Forks
    A large trash bag

I am sure everyone can provide their own beverages. However with that said, if you choose to have an adult beverage, be smart about it and make sure you have a safe ride home.

With the ice shaping up the way it is. I am willing to bet we will be able to drive out on the ice. If it is not we can just do it on the ice next to the public access, however it would be cool to do it in a fishable area. Where everyone can compare tackle, rods, etc. I will have all 5 of my fly reels there with different rods so guys can play with them before having to make a purchase if they are unsure or want to know if the courtland feels better to them versus the okuma. My electronics are also available for people to try. It would also be a great time to discuss the winning tactics and about the following upl event.

You do not need to bring anything, but if everyone were to bring a bag of fries, or a box of fish batter, etc, etc it will keep the cost down for everyone and everyone should have a nice little meal of fish on the lake!

I am hoping the fish from the upl event weigh in that are dead or people are looking to get rid of will be donated to the fryer.

Any questions or comments direct or pm me. There is a thread going on Thorne Bros. forums that you can post on if you will be there and what you are bringing.

This get together is not associated with Thorne Bros. or the Ultimate Panfish league. This is a for fun deal and should be a great time.

This event is on Peltier Lake, December 19th. Weigh in starts at two and we will be starting the fish fry shortly there after.

    Chris

Feel free to drop the link to the discussion on the TB site. That should help with the planning for attendance as hopefully you’ll get a show of hands in one location versus spreading it out across a couple locations.

PS – I added this thread to the home page. We’ll let it sit there and soak for a couple days.

Thought it was illegal to cook fish “ON” the water. I could be wrong. Maybe if you still have the carcasas youre ok.

Look up possessing fish in your handy dandy regulations book…I believe its page 10. And no, there is no experimental regulations on the lake that would require the fish to be whole or intact.
