Ice Thickness for a Wheel House

How much ice are you guys waiting for before you take the wheel houses out behind a wheeler?

6-9, myself however my shack is small and “light” usually much closer to the 9 mark so ai don’t have to worry about running out there in case of rain.

There was one out on Isle Bay on sunday.. I think they have close to 8″…

Depends on the house weight. 8″ should be golden for most set-ups. I’d go on 7″…
