Detroit Lakes Area Ice Report

Finnaly got a chance to go ice fishing today. The ice is setting up nice, anywhere from 6-9 inches on the lake I was on. The walleye’s are biting, which is good. Within 5 min. of setup I pulled in a 19″ eye. I managed to catch 5 more after that all between 17″-19″ with one at 24″(went back). Not bad for the lake I was fishing in a two hour span.

Sounds like you were rewarded for your efforts GUY,thanks for the report! I was in the AREA last week chasing whitetails not tips but driving past some old haunts got me thinking the time is almost right!

Next week I will be doing the same. The deer are moving around good now that the cold is here. It is hard to hunt deer when walleye taste better though.
