There isn’t an 820 any longer. The new 825sd is both color and true b&w. 300% brighter display and the new camera head puts them over the top on the underwater camera pile.

I was at the Joes Sporting goods booth today at the ice show. When I left the had

0 625sd color & B&W
2 620 B&W
? 380’s B&W left. Lot’s of cameras going out the door from various retailers!

I don’t know about the Ice Show as a whole but where I was the place was PACKED!

I miss read your question Jeff, but I think I answered it anyway.

The camera of the two new sd units have the Sony Super HAD II and have a LUX rating of .01 compaired to the older units that are rated at .05. Less light better picture.

The displays have the 300% brighter picture than the 820’s…which means 300% better viewing in sun light, which is what I think you were getting at.

I got a used 820 this year. It will be the first time I have had a camera. It sounds like the new ones are really clear.
