Walker area ice conditions??

Anybody been out on the ice in the Walker area? How much ice is the some of the smaller lakes? Thanks ,R

I have heard that Walker bay on Leech is just starting to skim over. Not sure on the main lake. Lakes over in the Park Rapids area a covered in ice but just a few are venturing out. Maybe this weekend on the smaller lakes:)

I was in the Backus area over Thanksgiving. People were fishing on Brockway (smaller shallow lake off 371 & 87). 3″-5″ thick on the smaller lakes. Our lake, which is usually one of the last to freeze, finally froze over Friday night once the wicked winds died down.
