With the entire “Who’s Who” of the ice fishing world gathered in one location I’m interested in what your personal #1 Draw will be for this years show? What do you want to check out, research or possibly home with. I know it is going to kill me not checking out all the new gadgets in this massive “Fishermans Toy Store” that surely I MUST OWN!!

I suppose I should clarify. My excitement will be stapled down in the Marcum Technologies booth talking “Big Red”, so I’ll be there no doubt!

I will get the list to you Alumanator…….Checks in the mail.

I’d have to say the free shots of Christian Bros Brandy will probably be occupying most of my time at the show this year. Whoever put the CB Brandy booth directly across from the bikini team last year was pure genius.

Chris, When are you coming in. A few beers on Thursday evening may get the weekend off to a good start. I know a place close by that would make you feel like you never left the north woods. Moose Country has enough mounts on the wall to get everyone fired up. Including a full Moose in the dining room.

Sounds like a very neat place Howie!! I surely get homesick for the Northwoods very quickly. Here in the wide open spaces I tend to get a little restless in “Confined” settings if you can imagine that! Sounds like that reference to the “Bikini Team” might keep things interesting. Unfortunately we’ll be making the long trek Friday Morning hoping to arrive around 12:00 if the 24 hour snowmachine should by chance shut off briefly!! We’ll see you there! Gonna be a great time with even a greater bunch of Ice Heads!!

    THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!

But I’ll have to check out the rest of the show and guys from Ido first…or I’ll never get a chance to meet them.

Less than a month left on my “old” calendar.

I’m looking for jig boxes. Not sure what day I’ll get to the show, depends on how the unruly the kids are.

A big fat zero. But a whole bunch will say they are working.

    Let me rephrase that:

How many IDO guys will be authorized to sit and loiter at booths at the icefishing show.

Off the top of my head… I’m sure I’m missing more than a couple here…

    Me
    Joel Nelson
    Matt Grow
    Cal Svihel
    Luke Haugland
    Grant Sorenson
    Tanner Wildes

And no matter what Stuart says leaning on a rack of ice rods is hard work.

Ok. I was kind of looking for the specific booths guys will be “working” at. All things equal, I’d rather buy from one of the clowns on here. Except Brian. I heard he smells like catfish.

I don’t know if anyone could tell you when and where guys will be but the lot of us will either be working Thorne, Reeds, Marine General, or in manufacturer’s booths for MarCum, Strikemaster, Otter, Lakemaster or Custom Jigs. And I’ll be doing a couple seminars mixed in. Might be easiest to just say you won’t be able to swing a dead cat overhead without hitting someone from IDO.

I urge you all to stick a piece of duct tape on your foreheads with your IDO screen names so you can identify each other.

We’ll all have name badges so we shouldn’t be too hard to find. I’ll pass on the “forehead label” but I will see if I can a “kick me” sign on the back of a couple of the new guys. How’s that?

Ya that idea may work. I just may have to come down and have a look.
