Sell off all his ice tackle and buy everything again as new!

I can just see him going bonkers each night after work out in the garage mumbling this-n-that about going ice fishing while he listens to the warm rain falling on the ground outside.

How many rods and reels are you going to replace this year?

lol i was thinking the exact same thing James! Im gettin depressed here but at least i have been able to hold off on selling most of my stuff lol. I wish i had 1/4 of his gear!

Luke’s on a “one new toy a day” medication regiment to get him through.

Up next, my brand new house, and then maybe, just maybe my wife…

I am sitting in my new heated garage, tweaking my solo, and my strike light… going over and over tackle…just hoping for 1 1/2″ of ice…Not til st paul and new york shows will I be doing a walking on water miracle. Just crazy…I can’t stand not having ice…

Enough of the rant, I am evolving, as I think all fellow ice guys should. I am moving from all shorter rods, to the outside, larger guide thorne rods. Back when I first got into thorne rods, outside long rods in excess of 30″ were non existent. And only fly fisherman used fly reels…it’s time to maximize time on the ice!

Can’t wait to have an arsenal of 32-36″ outside rods with fly reels, me and my snosuit are really going to get to know eachother this year!

And don’t get me wrong…I am for sure keeping some inside 28″ thorne rods for those really cold windy days- They simply can’t be replaced for fishing inside the otter, but…I am going to be on the move this year, with the new quad and otter monster box!

Sounds like some pretty good deals to be had there!! Everybody needs a good buddy that likes to “Upgrade”.

if all works well i’ll be on the water from about 4-7 tomorrow evening……awww, ta heck with work….i city is only a 4 hour drive from elm!!! i’m in, i can be there in 20 minutes!!!!

I’m still tinkering with ice tackle in the garage…back pain is bad right now..can’t sleep. Your welcome to come over and pick up the reels!

His wife just texted me and asked me to hide his wallet during the Ice show, while he’s “supposed ” to be working. Might be a tall order.
