Wondering what to look for in a fly reel for ice fishing. Will be using it for walleye and perch. Can the same reel be used for each species? Also, how are you rigging these up? With some sort of backing?

I have ice fish for years with a small unit from HT. It is call Ice Fly with a fly reel. I like it because it holds enough line for shallow water fishing. The rod is 24inchs and the reel is only 2-1/2 in size. Pretty good little unit. 10 foot of water is about the max. More than that and with a fly reel that is alot of reeling. Good luck looking!!
