I’m no IDO TV show but I wanted to show what I use my LX5 for. I never imagined that I could use my flasher in such shallow water but I was amazed how well it really did work..

I have the transducer base right at the bottom of the ice and have the gain set at around 2 is all..and I have the NBT on to help drown out the weeds I’m fishing in…

Pat, thats some fun stuff isn’t it ? I can’t wait for the live action !!

    Shaley,

you know the SuperFine Line feature has been there and I just never used it… I am so guilty… I will get a piece of equipment dialed it to where it works…then never dig into some of the other features…

I can honestly say I never read but maybe one page of the manual…I pulled it out of the box…read about the battery charging, and off to the ice I went…

    Thanks buddy !!

    Dave,
    Great post.
I use mine all the time for the shallow water bite. I got tired of watching down the hole. The LX5 is an awesome flasher. Can not wait for the ice to be strong enough to get out on.

That is great!! The NBT as you mentioned allows anglers to shrink the cone angler to look directly into the weeds below you where those fish are TRYING to hide!! Very neat in crazy shallow water!!
