We will be hitting the ice out of Wilderness launch

Take Hwy G North from Hwy 21 in Necedah go about 8 miles then head East (follow signs for Wilderness)You will come to a T in the road. If you need bait take a left and there is a bait shop on the left. If not take a right then left into the park follow the road to the launch then head onto the ice. Once on the ice go left and follow the shore around we will be on the backside of the 1st point that comes out My Blue F150 with the IDO hunting stickers in the topper windows will be parked there.I think a small group of us will head over early to claim our spot. Can’t wait to see everyone and lay the smack down on some walleyes.

Cool. I’ll be shooting for the 8:00 range. Google says it will take me 1 hour and 45 minutes to get there, but I can get to Winona from my house in 2:10, so I’m guessing it will take me far less than what google says.

Walleyehuntes post couldn’t have been more timely.

This will be a good time to get the kids out if the weather isn’t too cold.

Also, I’m going to have to get one of those pacifiers for Pat…he’s going to need it.

Are there other fish in that lake?

Does Sonny’s work through the ice? It’s the only thing I’ve used as bait for cats and if Kevin doesn’t come up Saturday, I won’t have anyone to put it on for me. I’ll need a different bait option.

The Wilderness bait shop sells “Baitmate” which is a green scent goo. We’ve renamed it “Shrek-gasm”. You could always put some of that on your lures.

When you catch a fish, sing out. We would like photos to post and if you have a StrikeMaster, we’ll enter your photo into their contest as well as the Frabill Nation contest.

    If you wish of course.

    Forgot about that.

I would really like a pic of Whiskerkev baiting the hook for John. I’m sure I’ll find some magazine cover it would look good on.

I just made 2 gallons of Apple Pie, but I think it might be a little strong for my first attempt. I plan on bringing it along so you guys can let me know if it needs to be toned down a bit!!!
