I’ve already told a couple-one person that you’re an ok guy.
And I believed him
Well I guess that proves the old “you can fool some of the people some of the time” saying.

Hey Don!
What do you think Alexis would look like with whiskers?
…errr holding a catfish?
I may have found a dance partner and might be able to make it.
– for me
– for everyone else attending
– from me
I’m thinking people might be surprised when they meet you in person.
It was a tough bite BK but that cat i’m holding in the first pic inhaled a lindy flyer spoon with a minnow head.
Good going guys. Were you fishing the area where we’ll be on Jan.15th?
We will be out as much as possible between now and then Jerry trying to nail down the best cat spot
They haven’t had the secret weapon yet. Which is me trying to catch Walleyes. That’s a sure fire cat magnet. We’ll be over with a bigger crew next Sunday checking the progression.
The bar/grill we will be going to after the event is Alec’s bar & grill in Necedah WI (within a 2 miles of the st Josephs resort).
ugly Looks like it was windy when it froze so it’s rippled and SLICK. Unless there is snow on top then it has 6-8 inches of slush underneath. More snow coming now and even more Thursday and Friday
Hit it for a few hours on XMAS eve day Marshall caught 2 in the 1st 10 minutes then we couldn’t get another bite. Marked plenty just couldn’t make em go
It’s a sloppy mess out there in places
Nope Still only 5-7 inches of ice in some spots It may not be safe for trucks all winter
Will take the wheeler out this week but may spend alot of time getting it unstuck
Was out off the Lure on Friday 12/24, fished 9:30a to 3p. There was 8″ to 10″ of ice with up to 18″ of snow with 5″ of water ontop of ice in places . Was a challenge getting around even with chains on a 4×4 ATV. There was only one permanent shanty out, but prolly 30 to 40 others out with portables. DNR was out checking everyone too.
Fishing was slow, 3 guys, 6 tipups, 5 flags resulted in 3 short walleyes. We also jigged up 3 crappies and 3 white bass. Lost a legal (prolly) walleye at the hole at the end of day packing up. Was pretty slow but conditions hampered moving as much as I would’ve liked… One of the walleyes we got, when dropping back into the hole took off in the 6″ of water on top of the ice, had to herd him back to the hole .
Hopefully this rain coming the end of the week melts or saturates the snow then the cold can freeze the whole mess.
It sounds like it’s going to reach a high of 40 sometime this weeks so hopefully that melts off a lot of that snow.

And hopefully all that rain and melt doesn’t form heavy pools of water under the snow and on the ice, making it weaker and even less consistent.
Sounds like all the lakes in central WI. is about the same. Have about 12 inches of ice on a local pond and about 15 inches of yuk. Hope the rain doe’s something good.

Obviously you are the resident iceologist among other things so i’ll just be quiet.
I’m thinking the rain will help with the snow and slush problem. May even be able to drive out on the 15th.
I hope the rain helps tried to get out with the 4-wheeler on Tuesday and had NO luck other than getting stuck
Just drizzle all day so far
Snow is melting FAST I can see bare grass in my front yard
The lake I was on this afternoon had almost no snow at all left and lots of water on top
Have to wait and see what tomorrow brings
