    I have read that some guys are running amsoil in their solos. Which amsoil are you running? I’m guessing that a synthetic oil is fine in the solos??? I think amsoil is great stuff and would like to run it in my new solo.

    Gotta love the smell of that amsoil burning.

    Source = Solo owner’s manual pg.6

    1. Oil

    To operate your engine you will need to use a clean, high-quality, 2-cycle oil mixed with fuel at a ratio
    of 40:1 (3.2 fl. oz. to 1 gallon of gas). DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC OIL. DO NOT use a fuel/oil mixture
    leaner than 50:1 (2.6 fl. oz. to 1 gallon of gas).

    I will only run amsoil… just don’t lean the heck out of it and you will be fine.

    I talked to the guys at Strikemaster and they said Synthetic was fine, just no leaner than 50:1. I run Amsoil Saber at 50:1 and it purrs like a Kitten and cuts like a Lion!
