Local metro lake at 1:30am was in a pretty heated game of Black Ops on the PS3 when he drag started screaming on the ultra light with 3# p-line with a green hexifly and euro larva. 25 minutes later this guy pops up the hole!

    Nice fish and nice catch!

The shack looks pretty nice too. Playing PS3? Man, you sound like you are set. Please don’t say you were playing online multi-player too!

Nice Musky! We seen one when our little gills quit biting…but she never looked at our offerings, should have put this guy on a hook.

Bass always put up a good battle through the hole with lite gear, I’ll bet that one gave you a really good battle. Nice looking.

Going out to play Catch N Release, I found Pool 8 tough for me on this day. First time into this community hole for the 2010-2011 season. Did find a few that wanted the Blue/Silver Slender Spoon but for the most part it was tough with a lot of sniffer’s not committing. The wiper’s were fun for a short lived flurry

Wiper as in White Bass Striper cross? Come on Brett.

She is a good looking fish. Those stripes are really dark!

your birthday, your fish. Call’em what you want.

I actually call them whities and wipers. It’s kind of like crappies have a dozen other names and it depends what part country you are from. Up here, wipers are white bass, to me anyway.

Is that a buffalo? Are they just as slimy in the winter?

MacBride gave up some last ice keepers for the pan this weekend.

Some bluegill also – in the 4-7″ range.

Lupe and I went on probably our last trip this year yesterday, we hit our sandpit that has been tough this year. We fished about 3 hours and ended up catching 23 nice gills. Here are 2 of them.

Gotta love it when one can get into some nicer gills.
