Marcum VS820 lighting questions?

Just picked up a VS820 on a pretty good closeout deal. After powering it up and reading the manual I had a few questions that I was hoping someone could help with.
1) When the unit powers up, the bright blue LED lights flash on, is that normal?
2) When the lights are off, the bright blue LED lights are still dimly on, is that normal?
3) When the infrared lights are on and are set on the lower settings of the 5 intensity levels, the blue LED lights are also on, is that normal?
4) The manual lists 4 monitor settings that should be under the MENU button, by I only see 3. I think this must be something to do with using common parts of the manual for the VS820 and VS825 because the color setting listed in the manual might not make sense for the VS820.

I just fired up my 820 and here is what I found:

1 The blue light flashes

2 The blue lights are dim then fade

3 The blue lights glow then fade

4 The menu page lists picture brightnes contrast color sharpness listed from top to bottom.

Well, I sent an e-mail into Marcum and got a really quick response.

1) It is normal for the blue LED lights to flash on when the unit is powered up.
2) The blue lights are dim and then fade to a “Just Visible” level and this is normal.
3) When the infrared lights are turned on, the blue LED lights remain at the “Just Visible” level until the infrared intensity is increased. I didn’t get a for sure answer on this, but I would bet it is normal.
4) The Sharpness adjustment has been removed, so only 3 Menu options is normal.
