No kidding! IS he out fishing already? He couldn’t possibly be. Could he?

my guess is he’s killing birds and walking on frozen ponds or sloughs.

Tim’s still dry so God knows there is no fishable ice yet

I can say, with absolute certainty, I’ve never fished on ice in October. November, yes. October… not even close.

If he decides to give it a go… tell him to be careful.

No way!? There can’t possibly be that much out there all ready! Or is there?

Sure as heck wouldn’t mind it if there was

Does this get anyone excited? I took this yesterday while working up in the mountains. It is a really small shallow reservoir, but it was still frozen! This morning there were some pretty good size ponds frozen over down low!

Anyone care to guess what kind of bear made this track?

My guess is either a koala or a good sized panda.

    Bob.

I would imagine that most small ponds are iced up, however safe fishable ice is another question. However the thought of ice got me fired up this morning.

This was october 10th last season. Had just enough ice to get a tip up in shallow water. Had to do it just to say we did! Should be real soon now!!!
