Sno Suit?

I’m in the market for a new ice suit this year due to loosing some weight and I’m kind torn on what to get.

I’ve had a blue suit for the last two years and while it’s an ok suit it could be better. My dilemma is I have an almost brand new set of Carhart Artic wear bibs/coat that do fit but as we all know, they aren’t exactly waterproof and I do a lot of kneeling when hole hopping.

I’m thinking either a Clam Grey suit or possibly just getting a set of Snosuit bibs as I rarely am wearing a jacket? Also I have other Gore tex parkas I could wear.

What do you all think? I’ve never even handled a Snosuit product but based on everything I’ve read and seen, I know it’s a quality and I would not be disappointed.

    What to do?

I agree. Go the SnoSuit route and you’ll never regret it.

I agree on ”atleast the bibs”I fish northern Ill.Alot of days the coat rides in the sled.If you fish teens and colder get the coat as well.Excellent example of something designed by people that use the product.I looked at every suit before I bought mine,no regrets.A few show up here for sale used or even new.One thing I read over and over and didn’t believe till I saw it for myself. You don’t need to bulk up under it,long johns and sweatsuit will take most folks to near zero. For extra few buck well worth it.Good luck Steve

x4 SnoSuit is really nice I bought mine last year and my only regret I have with it, is that I waited so long before I bought it. The jacket is worth every cent also, it has zippers under the arm pits that allow ventilation in. And the way that they made the arms, legs, knees, and elbows you don’t get that bunched up tight feeling in any of your joints from the bulk of the material. I think they call it articulated or something like that.

    small sno suite

I was just about to pull the trigger last spring when they had my size, looks like they just have small left in stock, heck of a price. I bought the Artic X Ware last fall, did me good!

When you invest in a sno suit its like buying a new shack only you are wearing it rather than pulling or dragging it

Don’t hesitate on the SnoSuit. Even though I don’t own a SnoSuit, I will recommend it. I’ve wore one for a full day on the ice and I was impressed. It’s extremely warm, I could kneel all day on the ice without freezing my knees and the # of pockets are incredible. I was really happy with the tall collar while snowmobiling as it really helped keep the cold out of my neck, chin and helmet. I could use a new snowmobile suit anyways.

I will purchase a SnoSuit in the future!

My only regret is that I didn’t get one for my fiance Kellie sooner. No more cold lady disorder

Well it looks like a pretty clear choice. Thanks for all the input.

I think I’ll have to get coat and bibs just to be on the safe side.

Now I have to find a place in IA that sells them or just take a gamble and order the XL top and bottom. My blue suit was a 2XL and it is now way too big.

I have a pair of carhartt bibs and i’m thinking of duct taping garbage bags around my knees and ankles so they stay dry and i’m wondering if anybody has ever done anything like that before? Would that look dorky?

Thanks Mr. Twister! That would probably look a lot better than duct taped garbage bags!
