I went out ice fishing yesterday looking to head over to the spill way on pool 10 but never made it over there…I did however get as far as Hog Slough…a 5 foot deep cut below the dam that has still water and 18″ of ice…but in a couple of hours I had a total of 12 holes drilled and ZERO bites….oh well …you’ll have that from time to time…So I ended up doing some sauger fishing with Len from the Falling Rock and in a couple of hours we pulled a half dozen saugers in the 15″ range thru the holes …the Nills Master in blue and silver was the hot bait for the afternoon…
Don’t go venturing out on your own …the ice is not safe in all places…you han have 8 ” in one place and open water two feet away… Please be safe !!
