I would recommend foot travel only on all inland lakes in the area. Shorelines are pulling away fast and i have talked to two people that have busted through near shore since sunday. One guy dropped his atv through in 10 f.o.w sunday and the other fell through yesterday walking off the lake. I would give it two or three more days and our ice season is done unless we get some real cold again which is unlikely.

On a lighter note the crappie bite is hot for those who dare to get out

Sadly to say there is not. You either have to launch from 2nd landing, washburn or saxon and its a pretty good run to get to the mouth from any of these places.

We lost two inches of ice yesterday taking the lake I have been on from 13″ to 11″. Only getting off the south shorelines right now. For anyone venturing, make sure you are taking rope, ice picks and a lifejacket!!!

Fortunately the WI River opened up so the boat can sneak down to Tomahawk anytime.
