When I think late ice panfish I start to think weeds. During this time of year the o2 level is staring to get very low, and the fish will be looking for the best place in the lake that will hold what they are looking for witch is food and good oxygen. This is the time of year that the weeds are starting to get green and the bugs are starting to hatch. The more the the snow melts and more and more water flows down the holes in the ice the better the fishing will get right up till ice out. At this time of year my go to bait is a #10 or 12 Lindy Fatboy
