I placed an order online with Thorne Bros on Tuesday night. Wednesday morning by 10 I had a message from Chris-teling me that the St Croix, and the Abu Garcia I wanted were out of stock. He had other options, which I took him up on. He also told me the custom Sweetheart rod that I wanted could be up to 2 weeks out. I let him know when I was leaving for LOTW, and I caught his attention. Chris let me know that if they could get it to me by then they would. He actually cared and wanted me to have that rod for the trip.

    Don’t find that to offen.

    AWESOME!!

I had never heard of Thorne Bros before IDO, but I know I’m not done shopping there.

Thank You (Chris) and Thorne Bros

Excellent. I would expect nothing else from an IDO sponsor.

I hope TB is able to get your sweetheart to you for your trip. Although I will warn you now. I just picked up my 1st TB rod this winter, and It’s HANDS DOWN the most expensive rod I will ever buy. Only because it’s such a great rod I am on a TB only policy.

Thorne Bros is the only store where my wife comes with everytime we go and never says “NO” to any thing I want in that store. She will not let me spend more than $20 at cabelas on the way home either and says the only reason we stop there is to see the purddy fish. My first visit to Thorne Bros this year yeilded a $1518.00 dollar bill which she smiled at and then proceeded to add a sweatshirt to the order for herself. Josh Roundsley and the staff at Thorne Bros is exactly what every one says “Second to none” they are the best in my book.

Best store in the Midwest by far!!!!!! If they don’t have it, they will get it and usually at a better price than bigger stores out there. Huge PROPS to Josh and his crew!

I ordered a new Predator from them last April at the Muskie expo and had a tourney end of April, they had my rod done and to me a week early. One of the few shops I have on speed dial, I know when I call they either have it or will get it for me ASAP.

i have to agree with the service i use there blanks to build on and when you order most blanks offline they have small defects i have built a bunch of rods of the thorne blanks and have not found anything i can complain about…..

also the knowledge that runs through the heads of the employees there is never ending… i could talk to those guys all day just learning…

Two things about Thorne Bros that sets them apart from the package and discount stores:

1….they stock what YOU actually want, and
2….they KNOW you are their bread and butter and treat you the way they do because you DO matter.

    HuskyJerk-
What walleye sweetheart you having built? If it is not done in time. Still make it a point to swing over. Im pretty sure I have a sweetheart in whatever you had designed you can borrow to make it through the trip!

Send me a pm and we can get some details worked out so you can still play with a sweetheart. Maybe send you up with a perch sweetheart as well. That rod really excels on the south shore of woods. Plenty of power and still get some bang for your 10 inch saugers!

Not much else can be said about the knowledge of the staff at Thorne Bros they are up to date on whats going on in every aspect of fishing both summer and winter fishing. There is a reason why they have the reputation they do…They know the little things about fishing that will help you become a better angler..

Man I love that blank Best ice blank ever

Calvin and I have 3 rods formulated from that blank alone. Each one has its place.

Wonderful to have you around and listening Chris
