Got out yesterday on a small little lake for some crappies, ended up finding them in 4 feet of water. You could barely read your jigs on the flasher, but when the fish came in they hit hard! These were by far the hardest fighting crappies i have ever caught in my life. I love fishing them this shallow, i only wish the lake was clearer so that we could sight fish them. Got all my fish on a green fatboy with a red plastic tail. a horizontal presentation was key, if your bait wasnt sitting perfectly horizontal the fish wouldnt touch it.
