Lake Francis Fishing Report

After an easy semester of college at SCSU it was finally time to head home for a change and do some local fishing with the paps. We heard some news about Francis and how some good fishing was present lately. So we decided to pack up the Fish Trap and head to the lake. We ended up getting there for the afternoon bite and boy was it full throttle. As soon as we got our lines set in 7 FOW, and yes it was 7′ of water; we iced a nice 12 inch crappie right off the get go. Couldn’t complain as only 2 1/2 hrs passed we already had our limit. If the wind wasn’t so hasty I’d say it would’ve been a greatious day to pull out the long sticks. Seeing how we were only fishing a foot underneith the ice. Overall it was a great time to relax at home and fish with my mentor..

Basically all 12″… and not to mention our limit…

Very nice (delicious) looking creel. Except for a couple of them the rest look like they were came from the same cookie cutter. And the two you are holding must have fought hard all of the way up through the hole.

This is the reason there is 5,000 people out there, why would you name a small lake like this. You are the first guy on all the web sites to show pics and make a real report on this lake. way to go on getting it fished out.

Juan I think your concern for the lake is good. Maybe a better way to not draw light to a post you do not think is favorable is to not reply. Post with out many reply’s soon move off to the back pages and dont see nearly as much traffic.

Kinda hit the nail on the head there Mike. I’ve found that pms works well.

All more posts do is draw more attention to what I would prefer others didn’t see.
