    Marcum makes a camera compass.

    See it here.

    Works great!!

Don’t let the simple design fool you. Those camera compasses work slick.

I’ve seen them in stores early in the ice season but I can’t say I’ve seen anything lately. It might not hurt to make a call to your local Gander/ Scheels/ Fleetfarm to see if you can find one locally.

And a one foot 1″ x 1″ works fine too, call me cheap! Couple wraps around the board with the wire, good to go.

    Hey Bud
I bought a Mo-Pod last week and took it to Winnie last weekend. Man does that thing rock!! I put reel weeds on the cable and had all kinds of fish to watch. I got mine through Reeds in Walker. My wife was with me and we hooked to camera up to the TV. Now she wants me to by the Marcum 825c. What a shame. God I love that woman. First it was an new Ice Castle and now a new camera.
By the way, fishing was pretty good. We had a big fish fry on Friday night and brought back 8 eyes and 30 perch. Fished in 27 fow and saw lots of action. Watched perch, walleyes, northern pick and even pouts and a white fish. Having the Mo-Pod made it that more exciting.

Yup, that’s usually the case. Manufacturers try and protect their dealers a bit by keeping their pricing a little higher to avoid directly competing with them.

I made my own compass out of a 1’x1′ piece of plywood and a boat rope cleat. It works great.
