    Last week, I got a new Polar Ice Jig Box in the mail. If you haven’t already heard, they’re an outstanding box for holding a variety of ice tackle. I already have 2 from Custom Jigs and Spins.

    As I was packing it full of Shrimpos & Ratsos, I had a painful thought. The kind of thought where you realize “What would it take to replace this box if I were to lose it?”

    Quickly, I did the math in my head including the $16.95 for the box. Yeah……that’s a lot of money… I hope my wife can’t do math kind of math…

    As I was wondering what I could do to help prevent a loss like that, I noticed the recessed area on the back side of the box. After some quick measurements and a rough design layout, I headed back to work looking for some scrap material to make some decals labeling the boxes as mine. I must say, I think they turned out nicely.

    I know chances are about 50/50 someone who might find a box like that will return it, but I’m hoping this little decal will increase my odds slightly.

    Now here’s the kicker. I know there’s guys out there who have a Rose Creek box and I’m guessing they don’t want to lose theirs either. So, that being said, if you want some decals like this, post a pic of your Rose Creek jig boxes here along with your address and I’ll get some decals mailed your way. Yep, that’s pretty easy. Who can argue with free stuff?

    Sorry Luke, it’s limit of 4. I don’t have enough decals for your luggage rack full of Polar Boxes.

    Awesome idea Tom, the thought of losing my jigs makes me want to puke . Heres the boxes I got last week, and a plano full of cjs jigs. I’d love 3 labels please, i’ll pm my address if thats okay? Thank you, Dan

    Thanks Tom, I actually need 2 more boxes for the rest of my jigs. I never realized how many jigs i’ve accumulated over the years. Funny thing is i keep adding with no stop in sight . Dan

    Blue – You may want to consider changing your label “Reward if Found” to Reward if Returned. Its getting to be jig making time again…If my wife had any idea on how much a 4′ x 8′ pegboard is worth full of “back-stock” and the 30 plano boxes of cranks below it

    I think ice fishing jigs are an addiction for many of us I know I have well over a thousand probably going on 1500. But every year I’m looking for something new and got to have 10 of them because what if you lose 1 or they stop making 1 of your favorites. Great Idea on the label. I have an etching tool I think I’ll use on mine. Pretty sure I’m never going to voluntarily let them out of my hands so it will be ok that its permenant. Thanks for the idea.

    Those DuPont spinners are really hard to come by! That must be an oldie. Im not sure anyone would return it to its rightfull owner though. Tag or not!

    Can you make one for me that says targa is great? Also can you put decals of trophy fish like the ones I catch on it too?
