St. Louis River

    I am new to the sight and go to UMD, and was wondering what the report is on the walleye fishing in the st. louis? i will be heading out there on sunday and would be greatful for any tips or hints as to where to go. Not looking for anyones honey hole, but just a general area would be great!

    Welcome to the site Check under forums select the mn icon the scroll down and there is a st.louis river forum that may lead you to some good current info

    Welcome,

    The river has some areas with current so be careful of ice conditions. If you hit park point try areas away from the crowd. It is hit or miss down there but plenty to be caught.
    Be sure to jig and a dead stick as they change what presentation they prefer often.

    Welcome aboard Hendo, I would take Seth’s advise scrolling the IDO Minnesota reports and if you don’t see anything just shoot those guys a question and maybe they can steer you in the right direction…

    You can just about drive anywhere down there now. Just dont drive up under the high bridge or anything just use common scense. Fishing has been fairly consistant lately. Early morning like 7 to 9 has been goos along with 3 to 6 at night.
