Chris, I run one of those Otter Train Gangs as you call em
I have two Otter Cabins(two man house) I run in tandem.

I looked at the one mans and they are pretty nice. I just always seem to have someone tagging along so the extra room for me is nice. Even when I’m by myself it’s nice to be able to fish two lines a few feet apart to eliminate tangles.

The one man would make a great sunnie or crappie hunting rig though

I have the one man pro…this is my first season with it and I love it…It has the one swivel seat in it. It can tuck down inside the cover and it fits in the back of my Silverado’s tonneau cover..

It has plenty of elbow room when set up..plenty of room to set up a heater and the LX5 and can still walk out the front zipper without tripping over anything.

Put a bench seat in it..you would easily be able to fish two adults in it if need be..

If you have any questions specific to the One Man Pro feel to ask away !!

Sometimes when hole hopping fishing Slabs I’d like a shelter. The larger house isn’t quite as mobile for this type of fishing. I’m going to look into it. Not just for warmth, but with a bit of wind it helps in bite detection also.

is there enough space in there to have 2 holes or is that pushing it?

I have the Otter Ice Cottage 1-man house and LOVE IT! It has plenty of room when set up for me at 6’ and 230 lbs. I also run two fishing holes, a Big Buddy Tough heater, Marcum Camera and Marcum Flasher all set up on the ice. When stowed all my gear fits inside including the rod bag and lunch box; for size Otter designed the Cottage perfectly for one man and a ton of gear.

On another note that particular house lives in the back of the plow truck. It spends every single day getting slammed around, stuff bouncing off of it and it has even fell out of the truck on the ice road…twice. Even with the full helping of abuse I have dished out to that little shack it has held together great without one single blemish on it. Not to mention the super easy set up, windows that actually open (didn’t even realize they did that until I fished in it), super comfy seat and the blue camo just looks cool.

I just can’t tell you how impressed and satisfied I am with my new Otter Cottage.

Anyone tried the Nature Vision Pak Shack? I want something light that fits in my car for one man search and destroy missions.

glad you are happy with yours. I just bought mine from Reed’s sporting Goods and it didn’t have the new seating system like I expected and had damaged parts and the snap on skin doesn’t fit very well either. guess I should have bought something else

Between myself and the guys I fish with, we have 5 of these small Otter Cottages with various interior mods to them. We do the Otter Train too, and hitch them together and pull with machines. They have proven to be an excellent fish house!

Tough, durable, and roomy for a 1-man, you can pack a lot of gear in them. Great pole system, fabric, hitch, cover, hyfax, and the Otter small ultra-wide sled is very stable and tough. Another thing I really like about this size house is that it will fit sideways in a full sized truck box, so you can get up to 3 Otter Cottages in an 8′ long bed.

You can find smaller, lighter, and cheaper houses on the market that may meet your needs, but this Otter is the total package and I’ve never been in a better 1-Man style fish house.
