    IM heading up to detroit lakes in 2 weeks any suggestions on a lake to catch panfish.

    Lake Lida is typically a safe bet that time of year. Some very nice crappies and gills in there……If you can get on South Lida (might have to go thru the resort) there are nice fish in there as well. Good luck!

    Welcome to IDO…Remember Lida has a slot on crappies..I am sorry I don’t remember and I don’t want to miss speak…check in with DNR or local bait shop

    Slot is 11″ on crappies, anything under has to go back. There’s also one on eyes, believe it’s 17-26″.

    Dead lake and Island just East of DL are both excellent panfish lakes. We caught some monster sunfish on Island last year. Good luck. Let us know where you fished and how you did.
