Last night my FW was telling me how bad the roads are going to be this weekend. I was quick to point out that our favorite weather person is seldom right and that we should continue with our plans and just wait a see how the weather plays out.

This morning my thoughts were confermed by ‘CCO saying most everything except rain would be missing us in the metro area and South.

Now, just a few moments ago my Hard Core Ice Fishing coworker said they were going to bail because of the weather.

Are most people changing their fishing plans this weekend because of the chance of freezing rain?? For Pete’s Sake you’ll be standing on ICE!

Come on guys this is MN/WI! Buck UP!!

My feet handle the ice a lot better than my truck handles an ice covered road. Mikehd and I made a little change in plans but we are still going fishing. We just shortened up the trip a bit.
High winds with freezing rain turning to rain, it just doesn’t get any better than that

Good luck to all the ice heads that will be venturing out into the great outdoors this weekend.

I am changing my plans. I’ve decided to skip the sno cross event at Canterbury and try to get out ice fishing instead.

Meeting a buddy at 5:30 and were going to New Albin area. My tent only leaks if I don’t keep the rain water of the flat top.

After reading all of these posts, I think I can accurately say, my co worker Mike is clearly…

    An Inspiration.

True fisherman don’t let a little weather get in their way.

I’m sure he started something. Again. I won’t be going fishing. But I will be going to Shell Lake WI to take pictures at a high school wrestling tournament. Sunday finally x-mas with the parents in Cumberland. Drove back from a wrestling match in Chippewa Falls last night. The roads were pretty bad. Saw 2 big rigs side by side and sideways on 94 blocking all east bound traffic. regardless of the weather if you slow down you can still move around up here.

I was out fishing today even though we had freezing mist last night. Just waited till the roads cleared up. Was fishing by 8 AM an hour later than I usually start.
