I was wondering about metro area lakes that could keep a kid interested. I was on Bryant about 8 years ago and was real busy. The drive doesnt bother me. I just want them to catch fish. Size is no issue. Any ideas?

Dad and I hit Lake Demontreville in Lake Elmo yesterday for a short bit. Just out from the landing, all the 3-5inch Sunfish a kid could want

    Hello Troy,

If you don’t mind the drive Head up to Chisage and fish out of the community hole by the A-Frame on the East side. About 8-9 feet of water and with a prtable you can sight fish em. The kids will love it. My son and I went thru a 200 quantity tub of wax worms last weekend and he is still talking about it.

    Give it a try.

Prior would be good. It has been kicking out a ton of fish this winter. Some nice sized fish mixed in as well.
