Strikemaster auger fuel tank

The fuel tank on my Strikemaster auger is cracked and leaking. Strikemaster is out of stock on a new tank until mid February. Does anyone have any advice to patch the small crack on the tank until I can get a new one? Will JB weld work on plastic? Does anyone have or know of a repair shop with an extra tank on their parts shelf? Its for an older magnum auger.

James thanks for the advice. I stopped at my local Ace Hardware and they did not have that product. I wanted to get the auger going so I got some JB water weld and but that on the crack. It stuck well, I’m going to fill it with fuel tomorrow. I’ll post how it holds up.

I already called D-rock (I have heard good things about them) they were out and on back order also.

Strikemaster told me they had 200 back orders for the tank. Not strike masters fault that the tanks fail or are on back order it’s the engine manufactures fault.

The JB water weld worked great. Held up over a weekend of hard use, that stuff is amazing!
