Cade I had your mom too for a teacher she was Great. I do have to say you have found some fish but where you find them is no secret to people who actualy look for them. My guys have looked all the time where you found them this year and we just have never been there when they were unlike you. I heard that you dont like some guys out on the river. Dont be mad at them cause you fish were they do too. I heard they have places where no one fishes unlike you. I give it to you, you put in your time unlike some people on this site who just wait to see where the fish are I would have to say find them instead of waiting cause you’ll be a day late.

I am well aware that this area is no “secret spot.” I knew all along, being in plain site that it was only a matter of time before I was spotted. That said, you hit the nail on the head when you said that I happened to hit the bite at the right time. That’s what fishing is all about. What frustrated me is that I spent a solid week and a half learning this spot and figuring out the best ways to catch the saugs, eyes and jumbo perch without a SOLE in sight. Then one day there was a lone guy out there fishing some of my holes that he had re-opened. The same day, just moments later, 4 other people came out, and all seemed to know that guy. A couple weeks later, I get a call from Scotty at Bob’s bait to tell me that there were some 15 people on the spot, and ever since I have seen at least 2 people there every time I drive by (I won’t even fish there anymore). It’s not that I unlocked a secret spot on the river, but the fact that all of these people did not seem to be aware of the bite prior to me fishing there frustrates me. And as you know its a huge area with quite a few features to it. I’d like to see some people branching out and figuring out areas that are untouched. Perhaps we could all benefit by working together. But I refuse to work with people that simply see me when they drive by, walk out and reopen my holes after I leave. And that, is exactly what irks me the most.

If they were fishing “your” holes just because you dilled them first why would anyone dill threw that much ice if there was an easy hole to pop open. If you get mad for someone fishing “your” holes that happens everywhere you go. Thats just ice fishing. If your not there I bet some one will fish holes that you already drilled. If there was 15 people out there I heard there was well over 20 some people out there but its so easy to see from any road. I would say you had a good bite and people saw you theres no reason to be mad at anyone or not to fish it anymore. Im glad you can still find fish where no one is thats a good thing you got going on but dont get mad if your so close to people that can see you.
