Today was the first day that we got out by the dam.We were able to get out to the longwall and did get some small fish. Not a hot bite yet but with the cold weather hanging around we should be getting out a little farther each day.
If you venture out be careful there are still some week spots. The shuttle service will start as soon as the ice is really safe.I did take the ATV up but you need to watch the ice conditions.

    Good Luck

I made it up below the dam yesterday. For fishing below a dam, the ice was a bit too thin for my taste. Only two other guys out (one in a hover craft). My buddy and I walked on. Going around the first bullnose the ice is thin (2 inches) Once past that there was only 3-4 inches at best. The ice was rough due to ice chunks freezing togther. Only fished for about 20 minutes before deciding to go to safe ice elsewhere. Fishing was slow to say the least. Saw two fish caught both under 12 inches.
