Pool 9 below the dam

I would suggest against fishing below the dam. Walked out in front of the dam to get to the other side for the first time ever today. Terrible bite no crackling on the way over … lot’s of crackling on the way back. … nobody has crossed from the parking lot yet, and I don’t think they will now with the higher temps… in my opinion the constant crackling of ice under your feet on the west side on a day that ice should not be being made.. was enough to probably keep me off it now the rest of this year. Add to that the crackling as I walked back across the channel..what a nightmare Probably headed back over to Petenwell in about 15 minutes

I saw you out there. I went from Eastman to LaCrosse about 11:00 and saw 2 guys out there on the west side. When I came back at 4:30 there were 2 guys at the end of the long wall.

Lawrence, did you cross above the dam and it was cracking? I was out yesterday and it was still in good shape, but there pulling water through at a good rate, so it wont take long to be unsafe.
