That’s a great fish, but man there is no ice there. It looks like maybe an inch?

Fish of a lifetime. I like how they were talking about releasing her before it was even landed

That was some very cool video. It was interesting to watch them play that fish out in case I ever in my lifetime find myself in that situation!

Awesome fish, but very thin ice. No way I would fish on that thin of ice!

I hope that was shallow water, 3 guys standing that close on 1.5″ of ice is not for me.

Great fish, glad they released it!

I highly doubt that fish lived after its release. Those guys were not supporting it in the proper places and it was fought too long to survive.

Not so sure about that. That was a tough catch and they handled it pretty well. Could you tell how excited they were yet they did not try to horse it up the hole. I have released a few big walleye in the cold on ice and they always swim right away. No hesitation. Ithink the fished survived, if not it was at the end of its life or near it anyways… IMHO

I think there was more than an 1.5″ of ice also… Nice fish and I vote for still alive also!!! Just my two cents!!!

That was a monster. Looked like they could of used a larger hole when that monster came out. I agree on the thin ice. It looked pretty thin.
