It all depends on what kind of lakes your fishing. Oligotrophic, Mesotrophic, or Eutrophic. Judging by your location in Alberta, Canada you’d be fishing in Oligotrophic lakes. Try finding a good rock pile ranging from 40′-5′. and get yourself on a good sized shelf not to steep at the 10-20′ range. Usually this is where they come to feed. If no eyes are present simply look for basins and fish the 10-20′ range there. Rock piles seem to be year round structure for walleyes though.

I think finding the food is your best bet.

Never caught a walleye under the moonlight because of a lake master chip! But I would say lay your ground work in the summer. Find a lake you like and fish it at night. Clear lakes are best options. Fish the shallow weed edges, rock piles, inside turns etc. I have found these are the same spots you will want to try in fall and winter. Having a group to fish with that has the same goal (night time walleye) helps also. Shared info on lakes and spots helps eliminate dead water….good luck

my brother and i have been hooked on night fishing for a few years now! but a lakemaster chip would be amazing, dont kid yourself if i could find a hole or middle lake zones itd be great.

I fished a few weed edges a few nights ago, marked fish but no takers. just looking for the “secret”
