Fishing out from the “four doors” yesterday on L. mendota and found big school of perch in about 73 ft. of water using “hanger rigs’ with a small glow genz worm and two spikes. Its a long hike out there. Be careful if you use an ATV, no matter which way you go there are tricky pressure cracks which need to be navigated. Time of day doesn’t seem to make much difference. Fish are from a foot to maybe six feet off the bottom, with fish higher in the water column more active than those huggin’ the mud.

Hey Ted, whats a “hanger rig”?
    Unfamiliar with that set-up.

    JWB:

The hanger is a portion of a coat hanger that is used as a weight and sends the bait down to the perch at that depth.
