So I know the In Depth is partial and stick to Custom Jigs and Spins but what else do you prefer or use? One of my favorite when fishing deep and finesse is Fiskas, small and heavy and have the strength to bring in some big Walleyes.
Just looking for options and see what everyone prefers!

I’ve yet to be on a good fish, and not be able to turn them with Lightning spoons. With that being said I very minnow tipping depending on the mood of the fish. If there are lots of big fish in the area I’ll run a small shiner hooked through head. Sometimes I’ll run a smaller fathead, and of course other times I’ll tip with just the head of a minnow. I also very the jigging technique to match reactions of the fish.

I didn’t even know there were other options.

ITs hard to be in a situation where a slender or lightening spoon from CJS won’t do, But I do fancy a Castmaster here and there

Other than a Gill Pill, or a Fiskas Gold, I like to use a Bro Bug. I’ve had days that it was the best producer.

Go Devils, Mini Merts and Diamond Jigs continue to be in my “go to” lineup when I hit the ice. I sometimes doctor them a bit by adding a “glow dot” or painting part of the diamond jig a different color. Worked great last weekend.

Panfish Pounders. These jigs rock! The paint schemes are absolutly unreal and have designs that no one else even comes close to! And they POUND the PANFISH!!!!!!

That about nails my selection as well….
Chubby Darters are amazing searching lures I find and I love finessing walleye and perch, sometimes even small 1/16 to 1/8 oz jig and a minnow head coaxes in some amazing pike as well.
But ill look into a few that you folks mentioned as “back up” arsenal. Thanks fellas!

A glo in the dark Lil Cecil has been good to me for bluegills and some bigger crappies with my son catching more numbers on the new red and black gill pill.

I jig a lot of the Lindy spoons as well. I like the 1/16 th oz. forage minnow for perch and the bigger buckshot rattling spoons and rattling fliers for walleye. I have been using the ratfink tipped with a small crappie minnow for quite a few years now. I was using that before I knew this site existed. That setup with a spring bobber is deadly for crappies on my lake.

It’s hard to beat CJ&S Ratfinkee, Ratso’s, Gill Pill and Slender Spoon.

But I like having the Moxy Jig and Purple Glitter Moon Glow jigs on hand too.

I can’t think of a fish that is normaly caught through the ice I haven’t caught on either a buckshot rattle spoon, cjs slenderspoon or a swedish pimple. Even Bluegills hit all of these in the right conditions and best part is much of the time for the more agressive fish you don’t even need to tip them with anything. I do also have a few hundred smaller jigs like every thing cjs makes another of my favorite no bait needed jigs is a rembrant I don’t think they are produced anymore but alot af the older bait shops still have quite a selection of them. Also like tiger eyes not sure who makes them but they are a sunfish profile bait the giant gills love them.

Its a bit different because we dont have blue gill, or crappie up here we are looking at Perch, Pike, Walleye, Pike rainbows, browns, brookies and lake trout, with the odd whitefish days.
So im trying to put your baits into perspective for the north, it helps none the less!
