Fox Rivers are the only socks I wear. My buddy is a distributor so I get a little discount on them They are great socks not only for the warmth but most of them have elastic around the arch that adds extra support. If you are on your feet all day at work give them a try. My brother is a custom home builder and he is on his feet all day at work. I gave him 4 pairs last year and when he was up last week I got him a deal on a dozen more. He’s hooked!! Most are wick-dry too so your feet stay warm and dry.

My keys for keeping the feet warm are…..

A moister wicking sock like an under-Armour with a smart wool sock over that. And having your boots fit correctly is a must…too tight and they cut off circulation too lose and the cold air will cool you off considerably.

The boot dryer is must also IMO and I bring a couple extra sets of sock combos with me and change them often sometimes right in the portable and that helps immensely.

So what pair do I need to keep my feet warm while ice fishing? There are a lot of socks to chose from.

I wear the wick dry euro. They are plenty warm for fishing on days like yesterday in the single digits. I was out all day with a pair under my Rocky’s. I think that it will have to be a combination of the good boot and socks to stay warm. I can wear white tube socks under my boots and be warm. Like I said in my previous post, it’s the support I love with the fox sox. If you are on your feet all day you will love them. You can see the elastic supports in the image in this link euro sock
