where is a good location to start to look when you fish a new lake? i have a map and there isn’t very much structure…a bar or two and a hump,a flat with deep water near by and a couple breaks is about it..it’s a man made lake with a dam at one end and a river flowing in the other..we can’t seem to catch much and when we do they are all about 12 inches…there should be alot of walleyes there and there has been a few over 10 lbs come out of there in the past few weeks…any suggestions where to try to catch the bigger fish?? it’s name is lake byllesby if anyone was curious or has a map…thanks

all I do usually is find the biggest ‘village’ of ice houses, go right to the center, and pick a spot centered on about 5 houses and proceed to drill holes
