Looking at a used Frabill XL Twin ice hut this weekend – any reviews? Is it big enough for two guys to fish comfortably? Will be pulling the sled myself – is it too big for one person to handle? It already has sled savers so hoping it will pull a little easier.

I had one for years, and it served me very well. I could fish with another person with little issue. I enjoyed the depth of the sled because I could put my heater behind me. If the one you’re looking at has a bench seat, I’d recommend swapping it out for swivel seats. They’re much more comfortable and the extra room is nice.

Loading it wasn’t too big of a deal for me, but having an extra back always helped.

I’ve had one for 6 years and think it’s a nice unit. fish 2 very nice and plenty of room for all you carry. can load in pickup by propping the front on tailgate and then lifting into truck. pulls heavy with all the gear but you can get by. Enjoy.

These are a great unit. I have a Frabil of similar size and I load mine in the van alone. It won’t matter what brand you have if the snow is deep on the ice, they’ll all pull hard if loaded with gear….even with the hyfax.
